Our Story
A year or so ago, my dear friend took me to see “Cats” at the Times-Union Center. As a typical female, I struggled over what to wear. Given it was July, I considered a sleeveless sundress, but , of course, I worried more about the temperature inside the building than that outside! So I settled on short sleeves with a sweater. This seemed to cover all bases. But, I thought, why is it that I always have to plan my wardrobe based on all possible temperature changes I may encounter? It would be nice to choose my outfit based on the time of year or the occasion rather than the temperature of the indoor air conditioning! I had a shawl that I liked, but it was too bulky for my purse. What about a garment that would cover my shoulders in a cold room but be compact? This was the inspirational moment for the birth of The Chilly Wrap!
The benefit of The Chilly Wrap is that it is compact. It is easy to put on, doesn’t wrinkle , stores conveniently in its organza pouch and you never have to worry about bringing it or leaving it behind. After creating a sample design, I gave it to a group of friends to get their feedback. They were all excited about the concept and encouraged me to perfect the product.
